Antes de salir de casa ya estábamos discutiendo.... Almudena que si no quería perder un día en un centro comercial, que para ir de compras lo hacía en Galicia, y no había manera de explicarle que éste no era el típico centro comercial, que no íbamos allí a ver tiendas ni a comprar nada, si no a ver la maravilla que se habían montado, ya que más que un centro comercial parece una ciudad... Deciros que al final fue la única que se fue con la manos llenas de bolsas. Pero a una amiga como ella se le perdona todo.

Almudena y yo somos amigas desde los 4 años y desde que nos conocimos hasta el día de hoy hemos sido como hermanas. La verdad es que he tenido siempre muchísima suerte con la gente que he conocido a lo largo de mi vida, me siento muy afortunada. Ya colgaré alguna fotito de cuando éramos pequeñas, no tienen desperdicio....

Soy la de siempre, empiezo a hablar de una cosa y me pongo a hablar de otra y a contar todo el rollo...

Bueno sigo con lo que estaba contando antes. Les avisé que se fueran con zapatos cómodos porque sabía lo que nos esperaba, pero menos Raquel todas llevamos calzado de todo tipo menos cómodo. Si ya lo dicen, para presumir hay que sufrir... Y en este grupo, nos juntamos unas....

Unos días antes compramos las entradas para subir al Burj Khalifa. Hay varias páginas donde podéis comprarlas ésta es una de ellas http://www.burjkhalifa.ae en ésta también podéis leer un poco sobre las historia del edificio. Pero avisaros NO COMPRÉIS LAS ENTRADAS EN EL PROPIO EDIFICIO OS COBRARÁN EL DOBLE.

Os recuerdo que el Dubai Mall forma parte del complejo Burj Khalifa, tiene aproximadamente 1200 tiendas y abrió sus puertas el 4 de noviembre del 2008. Tiene un hotel de lujo, 120 restaurantes y cafeterías, 22 salas de cine, un acuario, pista de hielo y un hospital.

Sus puertas están abiertas de domingo a miércoles de 10:00 a 22:00 y de jueves a sábado de 10:00 a 24:00.

La verdad que The Dubai Mall es más que un centro comercial, es como una pequeña ciudad dentro de un recinto enorme. Tiene zonas impresionantes y deciros que no me aburro de ir y pasear por sus calles sin tener que comprarme nada.

Si vais al centro comercial con niños, no podéis privarles de este paraíso, el sueño de todo niño, una ciudad hecha para ellos, donde pueden imitar y hacer cosas de adultos, como trabajar... No parece nada divertido, pero ¿A qué cuando eras niño soñabas con hacer las cosas que hacían los mayores? Pues al igual que en el mundo real, los niños realizan "trabajos" y son pagados ello (como oficial de bombero, médico, policía, periodista, esteticista, etc) pagar sus compras o para entretenerse.
El parque temático es una ciudad construida a escala para niños con edificios, calles pavimentadas,vehículos, una economía en funcionamiento, y los destinos reconocidos en la forma de "establecimientos", están patrocinados por marcas líderes multinacionales y locales.

Para todos aquellos que, al igual que yo, no sabéis patinar (y si no os queréis partir la barbilla) Dubai Ice Rink, es el mejor sitio para aprender. Con 22 salas es uno de los complejos de cine más grandes de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos.
Los precios de las entradas de cine son 45aed las películas en 3D (9e aprox) y 35aed las normales (7e aprox.)
El Reel Cinema Cineplex dispone de "Las salas Platinum" que son una pasada, ofrecen lo último en cine de lujo. La experiencia comienza en un salón privado con mostradores de servicio de mármol, muebles de firma de diseño e iluminación de ambiente, para tomarte una bebida relajante y comer algo, proporcionando un escenario perfecto antes de ver la película.

The Waterfall, La cascada, se inauguró el 8 de Enero del 2009 como punto de encuentro para los visitantes.

Recorre de toda la altura del centro comercial, que atraviesa los cuatro niveles, y está adornado con esculturas de buceadores de fibra de vidrio. Se compone de dos estructuras cilíndricas, 30 metros de diámetro y 24 metros de altura. Una auténtica pasada!

¿Qué os parecen los niños que paseaban en el taxi por el centro comercial?

Nosotras que no teníamos taxi y después de pasear durante horas con tacones por todas partes nos subimos a la planta de los restaurantes, encontramos uno muy barato con una comida no muy deliciosa...casi teníamos mas dolor de pies que hambre. Por 5 euros puedes comer dos platos con bebida.

We hadn´t taxi and after walking for hours with heels everywhere we went up to the restaurant area, we find a very cheap but very bad meal ... we had more pain in feet that hungry. For 5 Euros you can eat two bowls with drink.

Y la siguiente parada fue en Victoria´s Secret.... Esta parada dió paso a numerosas discusiones...
Cuando era pequeña y abrieron el Alcampo en Vigo, la gente mayor decía que echaban algo en el aire acondicionado para atontarte y que así al estar atontada, comprabas más... Gracioso ¿verdad? Pues deciros deben echarlo mismo en el Victoria Secret de Dubai, jajaja, porque vamos, nos tiramos en la tienda como tontas dos horas! Dió tiempo para todo, hasta para que la gente nos pidiese si se podían hacer fotos con nosotras. Una cosa que suele pasar con frecuencia....¡sorprendente!

Habíamos comprado las entradas para subir al Burj Kalifah a las 18:30, no es la mejor hora ya que aconsejan ir a las 5 para ver la puesta de sol, pero todas las plazas estaban vendidas para esas horas. Así que en vuestro viaje a Dubai, comprar una semana antes los tickets si queréis subir.

Con la historia de estar comprando como locas en Victoria´s Secret, se nos olvidó ver que hora era. A las 18:15 aún estábamos en la cola de las cajas para pagar! Silvia, indignada hacía ya una hora que se había ido sola por ahí.

Nos teníais que haber visto corriendo como locas dirección al Burj Khalifa con los tacones y las bolsas buscando la entrada principal para subir al mirador... El Burj Khalifa está separado del Dubai Mall, por lo que salimos del centro comercial y nos fuimos a la entrada del edificio. Pero lo que no sabíamos es que están comunicados... Por lo que para subir al mirador hay que acceder desde el centro comercial (información muy importante por si queréis subir al Burj Khalifa).... Así que, otra vez corriendo para el centro comercial. Vamos que al final llegamos! Pagamos por subir 100 aed (20 e)

To climb to the viewpoint must be accessible from the mall (very important information if you want to climb the Burj Khalifa) .... So, again, we had to go running to the mall. We thought that it wouldn´t arrive but in the end we got it! We paid 100 aed up (20 e)

Quedamos un poco decepcionadas por las vistas de noche. Ya habíamos leido que si no podías coger entradas para ver la puesta de sol, que cogieras entradas de día porque de noche la iluminación y las vistas no eran tan bonitas.... Además el mirador nos pareció muy pequeño y muy lleno de gente. Había que pelearse por un trocito de cristal para sacar alguna foto. Estoy segura que si hubiésemos subido de día nos habría encantado.

We were a bit disappointed by the views at night. We had read that if you couldn´t get tickets to see the sun, you should buy tickets for the day because at night the lighting and the views weren´t as nice .... Besides the viewpoint seemed very small and very crowded. He had to scramble for a piece of glass to take a picture. I'm sure if we had gone the day we would have loved.

Terminamos de ver, sacar fotos y grabar las vistas desde el edificio más alto del mundo con un dolor de pies inhumano... No nos quedó otra que tirarnos en el suelo a descansar un poco ya que al salir de aquí nos íbamos a cenar y a tomar algo.
We finished watching, take pictures and record the views from the tallest building in the world with an inhuman foot pain ... We had to throw ourselves on the floor to rest a little longer to get out that we were going to dinner and drinks.

Estábamos sacándonos fotos y la gente nos pedía si se podían hacer fotos con nosotras... Vamos contentos como si de Angelina Jolie se tratase.

Lo último que vimos antes de irnos a cenar fue la famosa Fuente de Dubai, Dubai Fountain.

Cansadas y hambrientas, cenamos lo que pudimos en Zouk Medinat Jumeirah y nos fuimos a tomar algo a una discoteca.

Después de disfrutar un poquito de la marcha del Souk Medinat Jumeirah nos fuimos para casa porque mañana era el último para las chicas y les esperaba una sorpresa....
